Details about changes to the site

We’re excited to announce that for those minded to share their creations with the world, any board that you mark as public will now appear in the public vision board gallery.

This gallery is shown on the front page as below:

VisionBoardGallery

Each of these is clickable, and allows people to share directly to various social media sites. A video how to do this will be created soon.

Now for those concerned about privacy, by default only YOU get to see your boards, you can change it for the board in the privacy tab in settings. So go get creative with your public vision boards, and share it with your friends whether they have a Dream Timeline account or not.

Well it’s been a roller coaster last few weeks, dealing with workflow issues, and things we’re integrating with changing their APIs. Though I am pleased to say that we’re getting closer to where we need to be.

In life there are places we want to be, steps we must take along the way, and the occasional set back. This set of changes has been no different, and our development have continued to push forward with our guidance.

This was because we have a vision of where we want to be over the next 6, 12, 18 months. Have you stepped back to do the same for yourself recently, you’ll be amazed how focusing on the right things gets you there all the faster.

This is probably why people have fallen in love with using vision boards, it is a simple way to focus on what you want, even if you would consider yourself not great at visualization.

The vision board has become a much loved feature by our user base, and within the next fortnight users will be able to:

  • Create multiple vision boards
  • Choose from a number of different frames and backgrounds
  • Share your vision boards with friends
  • Rotate your images
  • Publish you vision board to Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest
  • Add tags to your board for quick finding

We’re excited about all the changes, and there are a few more surprises up our sleeves, we’re dubbing it Vision Board 2.0!

There is much much more to come after this release, but rather than wait until it is all complete we have taken the decision to release a working solution so our users can get started on using it sooner rather than later.

So keep following for updates, and please please do let us know what you think of the features, and what you want to see implemented. We’ve got more on the way so it may already be in there 🙂

We have now put a target date in for the next big release, and we’ve increased the size of the development team to work towards this date.

We’re keeping the details under wraps, though we have already announced it will include groups, and enhancements to the much loved online vision board feature.

When outlining the updates to a group of internet marketers, we were overwhelmed with the positive feedback. With 8 out of 10 people having made a vision board or mood board before.

Dream Clubs are being revamped and renamed to Groups to be more in line with the way you are used to using them on Facebook.

This will be implemented in the next couple of weeks. This is all part of our roadmap for vision boards, the Dream Timeline itself and other micro-communities around your goals.

We’ve got lots of things happening, and as we know what and when, we’ll update you here and on our Facebook page.

So Dream, Share, Believe and Achieve 🙂

Things are changing here at Dream Timeline, things are getting better, and we’re excited. We’re taking our vision board functionality and allowing you to have multiple online vision boards, so if you want to have different boards for different things, you can.

The release date for this is scheduled by the end of October 2012, but as good as this sounds, it’s better than that! We’ve got a few more twists to this that which is awesome, and there is nothing out there like it…

Which is why I cannot share with you the screen shots, and yet I could not hold back my excitement, I had to share with you all what is happening.

So Halloween 2012 will be more than witches, and goblins, and pumpkins, it heralds yet another first for Dream Timeline…

Enhanced Vision Boards

September 14, 2012 — Leave a comment

Development is now firmly under way for expanding our much loved vision boards feature. Over the next two months we will be delivering some exciting new functionality to the vision boards including:

  • Allowing users to create multiple boards
  • Tagging boards for better search
  • Better sharing with Facebook

This is just three of the improvements we’re making to the Vision Board feature, look out for announcements towards the end of October as to firm release dates and features…

…this is going to rock!

Our developers have been working hard at making the Horizontal Timeline view look better, and I’m pleased to say that it will be implemented within the next week.

The view is designed to be more suitable to those who have a natural left-to-right orientation for visualising their timeline.

Some people, including me, have their timeline run through them, with the past behind them and the future in front of them.

Others have their timeline like this left-to-right orientation with the timeline out in front of them.

It’s not the only way people have their timeline, it is common in Japan for their timeline to run vertically through them – something we clearly could not practically do this as part of Dream Timeline.

If you’re not sure, you can change any time between the Horizontal and Vertical orientations.

We hope you like it and it helps you even more in visualising your dreams.
